What a pleasure to photograph the MOST talented Michelle Suchland. Scroll down to see her adorable masked creatures from her "pretenders" series I was lucky enough to photograph on display at The Museum of Museums in Seattle, WA. Michelle's work is always so whimsical, fun and imaginative, no matter what mediums she's working in. Im just such a fan!! It was so fun to be able to take her portrait and see her sparkle!

What an absolute please to photograph Aubrie. Styled head to toe, i really can't express how much I appreciate a client willing to get on the floor with me. Weather it be a smile or a smirk those these looks just serve.

Maybe its the leather jacket but I loved this session in Black and White just as much as the color photos. That is so rare when Im shooting at Gallery GoGo. The space is so light and bright and colorful. Its orange and yellow, pink and green. I call the dressing room decorated in multi colored tinsel the "sparkle room" because of the sparkle that shines in everyones eyes when they step inside it. The sparkle in Nicoles eyes was so strong even in black and white it beams! We chatted about more serious photos but her smile was so bright I couldn't help but want to capture it. Nicole is also very talented musician. You can listen to her music here :)
If you would like to schedule a portrait session at Gallery GoGo you can click here to schedule! Sessions take place MOST Tuesdays from 5-7p.
We scheduled this session in the fall planning for the cherry blooms. Earlier spring can be a tricky season to predict and plan weather in the Pacific Northwest, Even still I think we nailed it! It took two weekends because those blooms just hadn't quite popped yet but I also cant help but love the cold, fog, gloomy look so as long as my camera isn't getting wet I can't really be disappointed. We started at Salmon Spring under the Hawthorne bridge so please hit that read more to get to the Cherry Blooms!
Enough about weather, this couple was so lovely. I've talked a bit about how hard it is to share my portrait session work online because even though I do feel ownership over the images I create I don't always feel the same ownership over the stories I'm capturing. Its complicated and I'm forever grateful to the people who ask me to photograph them because these images become part of my story.
